Jacquie is a Colorado native, born at an elevation of 10,200 feet in beautiful Leadville, Colorado. Her dad served in the United States Navy, so growing up she had the opportunity to live in many states across the country including California, Maryland, Texas and Florida.
After high school she attended vet tech school at Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida. She worked as a vet tech in Florida for eight years in multiple capacities. She worked in general practice, at a marine sciences laboratory and as an adjunct instructor for the Brevard Community College Veterinary Technology program. She had the opportunity to work with various species including wild birds, sea turtles, bobcats, dolphins, manatees and even a pygmy sperm whale. In 2008, she returned home to Colorado to earn Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University.
Jacquie has been a member of the LHAH team since 2016. She takes special interest in geriatrics, nutrition and alternative medicine. In her free time Jacquie enjoys mountain biking, hiking, camping, road trips, cooking, painting and photography. She lives in Black Hawk with her boyfriend Dave and their beautiful husky shepherd mix Aspen.
